Algae peeling is an innovative cosmetic treatment that is causing great enthusiasm in the beauty world. The SU SKIN algae peeling is not just a passing trend; its impressive results and lasting improvement in skin condition secure it a firm place in the industry.

Through my years of experience and the desire to always offer our customers the latest techniques, I discovered the so-called spicules, also known as bio-needles. In order to make optimal use of this technique, I have developed my own products for this treatment.

With my academy, I train self-employed beauticians in, among other things, the technique of organic microneedling. Together with my team of trainers, we are establishing this technology not only in Germany, but also in many other countries around the world.

How the algae peeling works

Algae peeling, also known as bio-microneedling, combines the effects of a classic peeling treatment with the principles of microneedling. With microneedling, tiny needles create fine injuries in the skin layers, which stimulate wound healing and collagen production. Algae peeling achieves similar results without needles by utilizing the unique properties of Spongilla Spicula – tiny silica structures found in certain sponges.

Advantages over traditional microneedling

Algae peeling offers a gentler and more natural alternative to traditional microneedling. It can treat a wider range of skin conditions, including couperose, rosacea, eczema and acne, where traditional needling is often not possible.

The microscopic particles penetrate the skin up to 3.5 mm and remain active for up to 48 hours, allowing for longer and continuous stimulation of the skin.

Effect at the cellular level

Spongilla Spicula act at the cellular level and promote skin exfoliation and regeneration through:

Stimulation of cell proliferation: The outer layer of skin is removed, causing the cells underneath to increase their rate of division and form new skin cells.

Activation of growth factors: Mechanical stimulation promotes the release of growth factors that support cell division and regeneration.

Increased collagen production: Exfoliation stimulates collagen production, which makes the skin firmer and more elastic.

Promoting cell communication: Improved exchange of signaling molecules between cells optimizes cell functions and regeneration.

At the age of 19, Susann Herdegen took the plunge into self-employment and opened the "Su Beauty beauty salon" in the heart of Bonn's city center in 2015.

Cosmetic treatments, eyelash extensions, lash and brow lifting to various pigmentation techniques – Susann offers a wide range of treatments in her salon and employs a dedicated team.

The passion for pigmentation sparked early in her career. She has therefore specialized in this area and developed her own techniques in recent years. She has already carried out over 30,000 microblading treatments and successfully trained numerous students at the SU BEAUTY ACADEMY.

In her academy, together with her team of qualified industry experts, she offers a variety of training courses for treatments in the beauty industry. Among other things, cosmetic treatments such as algae peeling treatment, also known as organic microneedling.

She developed the cosmetic products herself for her brand SU SKIN and produces them in Germany. SU SKIN are vegan, clean-beauty cosmetic products.

Susann attaches great importance to short supply chains, regional raw materials and sustainable packaging.

All products are manufactured in our laboratory in Germany.

Susann Herdegen is a well-known personality in the beauty industry, she is a role model for many young women and gives lectures about her expertise at international conferences. She also serves as a judge at beauty championships and promotes young talents.

As the founder of her agency ÊTRE VU, she is committed to marketing, supports colleagues in the industry and acts as a coach for young women on their way to successful self-employment.
